Case Study – Deafblind UK
Here at Yorkshire Powerhouse, we believe in the value of studying other successful businesses and organisations to allow you to develop new ideas and strategies that could benefit your own business. We keep these case studies snappy and easy to access to allow you to rapidly gather the relevant information:
When did the Deafblind UK start operating:
Who started the organisation:
It all started in 1928 when a small group of deafblind people and their carers founded the National Deaf Blind Helpers League, an organisation offering mutual support and understanding in the face of conditions they found ‘unjustifiably cruel and hard.’ This was later renamed the National Deaf Blind League.
Tell us what you do and how you do it:
We build strong partnerships with local businesses and community groups to add value to their goals and raise awareness of their services to people that are living with a dual sensory impairment. We are proud in our approach that sees us put the purpose of your business at the heart of what we do.
SMEs often find that they don’t have the budget for training or team events, marketing or online promotion, well that’s where we can support you. From a one-off workshop/event to a year (or longer) partnership.
What are the main strength/s of your organisation:
As a national charity we can support businesses to network and grow whilst giving something back to the wider community.
What are the values that drive Deafblind UK:
